A familiar face and voice is returning to the Steinbach Pistons fold, as the team announced Kevin Geisheimer would begin work as the organization’s director of business operations.
Geisheimer worked with the team from 2014-2018, and served as the team’s radio play-by-play voice on Golden West Radio before that.
Despite leaving the team to work for HyLife, Geisheimer stayed involved, joining the community ownership group in 2022 and serving on the board of directors.
“I’m convinced that our region ranks among the best places to live worldwide,” Geisheimer said in a Pistons’ news release.
The release added Geisheimer will be working with both head coach and general manager Paul Dyck as well as sales and marketing director Jamie Roy.
“We needed to add some horsepower to our staff and Kevin is exactly what we need right now to get this done,” Roy said.
“He is someone I constantly look to for advice so I’m very excited to have him back.”
Geisheimer will be key for a Steinbach team looking to thrive in the brand new Southeast Events Centre.
“His addition allows us to grow, provide a new level of entertainment on game days and increase our presence in the community,” Dyck said.
Steinbach’s first game inside the new arena is expected to take place on new year’s eve.
