A fire in Hadashville on Jan. 31 had to be extinguished twice leading to a suspicion of arson.

At about 10:17 p.m., Reynolds Fire Department was called to a house fire on the west side of Highway 11 and a couple lots south of the Greater Winnipeg Water District Railway track. The house was an abandoned single storey structure. The fire started in the front bedroom and was put out by Reynolds Fire Department and by mutual aid from the Richer Fire Department. EMS and the Falcon Lake RCMP were also on the scene. The fire was suspected to have been re-lit the next evening (Feb. 1). The Reynolds Fire Department returned and extinguished the new fire. The home was a total loss and it is unknown the cost of the damages. Arson may have been at play as the fire is considered suspicious.
