The first weekend of November kept Steinbach RCMP busy with booze and drug-related arrests.

At 12:44 a.m. Saturday morning, police arrested Armand Delaurier, 40, at the scene of a break and enter at Manitoba Hydro on North Front Drive. He was charged with possession of property obtained by crime under $5,000, other theft under $5,000, possession of methamphetamine, and break and enter. Delaurier was remanded into custody.

Then that evening at 8:49 p.m. the driver of a pickup truck lost control on Road 35 East near the intersection of Old Tom Road and Park Road East. There were three people in the truck and all were taken to hospital. Steinbach RCMP continue to investigate and believe liquor may be a factor.
