RCMP are hoping the release of a Snapchat avatar will ultimately allow victims of sexual exploitation to step forward.

Police issued a press release on Tuesday, explaining they had arrested Tyson Vandenbosch, 20, of Steinbach on Aug. 24 in relation to online communication with minors for a sexual purpose.

“While investigators conducted a data analysis of the data extracted from the digital devices seized in the investigation, they have located several victims that they have not been able to identify,” the press release stated.
