Hanover School Division is losing its assistant superintendent to the Seine River School Division come November.

Colin Campbell will be leaving the post he has held for six years on Nov. 27.

“I am deeply honoured to accept the role of superintendent and CEO of the Seine River School Division. The long-time administrator began his career as a teacher at Pembina Trails School Division before working at Mitchell Elementary School from 2006 to 2011. He was principal of Elmdale School from 2015 to 2018 and Vice-Principal of Woodlawn School from 2011 to 2015.

He has a masters in educational administration, a post-baccalaureate diploma in education, a bachelor of education, and a bachelor of arts.

“The Board is deeply grateful for Colin’s 18 years of dedicated service and outstanding leadership. His unwavering commitment to fostering learning for students and staff has been instrumental in advancing the mission of the Hanover School Division. He has been a positive influence in our school communities,” read a statement from HSD.

Campbell believes that every student can learn and he’s committed to inclusivity and belonging. He prioritizes serving students, families, and the community with integrity through educational partnerships, stated a press release.

“The board of trustees is very pleased and excited to welcome Colin to this position and are looking forward to working collaboratively with him to ensure the students receive the very best education possible,” said SRSD board chair Wendy Bloomfield.

Campbell will replace SRSD interim superintendent Reg Klassen on Dec. 9.
