Burger Days awards top entries

Burger Days have come to an end in Steinbach and the votes are in.
Every customer who purchased a burger at one of the 17 participating restaurants from Sept. 14 to 21 had the opportunity to vote on best presentation, best tasting and most creative burger.
This year Doener Grill Express repeated with the best presentation award with their Augusta Burger described as juicy smash patties stacked high with crisp lettuce, ripe tomatoes and crispy onion tanglers. It also included pickled red onions, creamy pimento cheese spread and was topped with a red pepper popper.
Coming in second was Frantz Inn/R-Bistro’s Jamaican Crispy Chicken Burger.
The best tasting burger belonged to Santa Lucia for their SLP Gunslinger, featuring hickory smoked barbecue sauce, garlic aioli, candied barbecue bacon, lettuce, tomato, onion rings and crispy jalapenos.
Second place went to Doener Grill Express for their Augusta Burger.
The most creative burger was awarded to Frantz Inn/R-Bistro for their Jamaican Crispy Chicken Burger described as crispy chicken on a waffle bun topped with a spinach artichoke jalapeno popper.
Second place went to MJ’s Thank you… Thank you very much burger.
